all knowing parents
the other day over dinner, my parents and i were talking bout durians. so i jokingly said why don't we eat durians and drink beer. and my mom said "cannot! will die one!" (which i already heard before, and apparently everybody knows oso), so i asked her how come will die, and if its proven?? she also dunno, but its just that everybody said so. apparently its known by everybody aint it??
soo if u think you knew the durian one, let me shock u with 2 other combinations my parents warned me about. first is mangosteen with sugar (or coffee) and the other is beef with ka-na-ji. although i dunno whats the reason, my all knowing dad says its due to some chemical reaction inside the body. (ok my bro and i had this little joke that whenever dad says something 'scientific' we'll call that moment 'soil erosion'.. becoz that was a term he kept using last time when there was this spate of disasters in m'sia.. heehee)
then just yesterday my parents went to this place called quality road (i dun even know where is that) and bought like 50 bucks worth of ice cream cos there was a sale .. where one cornetto apparently only cos 55cents. so now my freezer has like 3 boxes of ice cream. i asked the, 'eh no need money wan ah' and they said 'aiyoh u know how cheap anotz??!' im thinking to myself 'cheap oso no need to go over the limit rite??) and 3 boxes was after we gave 2 to 3 boxes away.. best.. now i can eat ice cream for breakfast lunch and dinner.. im not really complaining ..
