every semester we students face the bane (nope not bane hollow) of registering for our subjects. last semester was especially screwed up for me, leaving me with a sucky timetable. well this time round, surprisingly, it was so smooth i couldnt believe it. usually this is what happens:
all the kan cheong spyders will go down to school to use the school computers, esp the library ones because of the myth that the computers are in sync with the system clock, so basically you'll get the subjects you want faster than the rest of the world who aren't using the school comps cos they won't know the exact time to click. of coz prior to that, you must have planned out everything swee swee, ready, waiting for the clock to strike at the exact time and then the fastest mouse click wins. plus with the new time table planner that ntu has implemented, it makes planning and clicking even easier (not always true, becoz due to some ppl not listening to instructions of registering FOR THE SAME CLASS FOR ALL SUBJECTS) you might not be able to get one or two mods, and the headache begins. so bottom line is, if you are the fastest mouse clicker, you win (similar to playing DotA)
the past 3 sems i did in school, with the last sem's one in the library which totally screwed me up. so today i was wondering should i stay in school to do registration but i was too darn lazy to hang around in school (esp playing dota till 4 this morning). n hence i pia home, bought char siew, shio bar peng back, munch it down, and began my battle. surprisingly, i logged in 15 mins earlier, click click abit.. then not time yet.. then felt the urge to pang sai, so i quickly did a 3 min stint in the throne, and then came back to click click 2 more times, then the subjects were added sucessfully.
so whats the winning formulae?? the school library myth is bullshite, and taking a shit before you do ur subject registration gives u the edge (not lothar's edge). yupps.
but i guess the funny thing is that i actually hope not to be able to attend lessons nxt semester cos i really wanna get my exchange place in toronto, so a smooth subject registration might prove uselss afterall (unless of coz i dun get to toronto, and even if i did, i'd have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN, but over there.. haiz)
