road trip

been meaning to post this up like for a few days now.. but then no have been abit lazy, now i lost abit of the enthusiasm to talk about it in an ..err enthusiastic manner?? sooo here we go:

saturday 8th october, road trip to kitchener/waterloo for oktober fest



so as you can see from the pic, alex the driver, me the navigator (although i was ousted from my position abit later cos i keep screwing up the directions.. ok ok dun blame me.. i gave up my reccee skills 2 years ago.. ) and the 2 passengers in the back.. man yin and felicia.. and u can see that the trees are turning a nice shade of red.. really very nice.. u all shud see for urself to really know how nice it is.. its like... NICE



we stopped over at cambridge (yes alot of places here are named after places in uk.. duhh?? there's even a london here too.. and the funniest thing is, apparently they've got a bridge called the.. oh well u shud know...) to pick up our friend jia jun (aka jj). that's his room in the first pic, and the nxt 2 pics are of his school. he is in architecture (yeah the profession that i was rejected from) @ nus doing exchange at uni of waterloo , the thing is they house the architecture fac away from the main waterloo campus.. like so weird.. its like the law fac movin to the bukit timah campus (aka old smu, aka even older nie). so yeah we walked around the building for abit while jj dropped off some stuffs.



and off we went to kitchener.. we stopped at this beer hall for lunch (free entry what, so walk in see see lor) and then i went to buy this cool funky oktober fest hat (its real cool, cos like the ppl pin badges for the years that they've been to oktober fest.. so u see really lao jiao old men with pins from 1960 or something)



nxt we went to the main campus of the uni of waterloo.. nothing much lar.. just walked around.. that place is really like ntu.. super ulu and only got 1 or 2 bus that goes there (like the 199 and 179).. its so ulu that the student center has an arcade in it.. how come ntu dun haf?? muz go to blardy jurong point to play my favourite dance dance revolution game..



we drove on further to stratford, this place known for thier plays and stuff, esp shakespear.. they even got a town called shakespear.. but the place is very nice, very artsy and 'up'.. u even gotta pay 5 bucks to go see quilts (no i din pay to see what my granny can sew) we just walked around, went to the theatre store to get some stuffs..




and finally we drove back to kitchener cos we pre-bought tix for this other beer house.. and yeah juz went there to experience the atmosphere of a more or less authentic oktober fest i gues.. muahahaha... actually singapore oso have lar, just need to find the right place to be.. swiss club confirm haf something simliar( refer to september post last year about me bitching bout working in the swiss club).. ohs along the way to the beer hall we found this really cool pumpkin kindda farm.. so yeah did the tourist thing and took photos!

kz soo that's all for road trip.. meanwhile.. not feeling very up.. must be that time of the month again... oh wells...
