technology sucks
i remembered singing praises bout the G5 with final cut pro not too long ago.. well i totally take that back now, it sucks!! cos it keeps crashing at the most crucial point!! arrgghhh so frustrated... anyway we finished editing proper at 8pm.. so i thought exporting to a normal movie format, how long can that take right?? apparently 3 freaking hours cos it keeps saying not enuff space on the scratch disk.. i mean wtf is that?!!! then in exasperation, yiffy went to delete all the vid files while contained like the bits and pieces required to export the proper movie, and then hong kan chao ren.. but not her fault lar, cos i instigated her to delete them.. hehe , just not my fingers that were doing it that's all.... but anyway thankfully we have one version (i really dunno in what format manz, its jus uber huge 2.2GB that can be played with quicktime.. but its not a .mov, so errr i dunno how ppl are going to circulate it lar in hall lar, yiffy will try to compress it into a circulatable copy...)
haiz.. so after hrs of frustration, we gave up and decided to pack up. so i can more or less conclude that i am done with video editing!! now i know how its like to be a cs student, and i must say its not fun at all!! stuck in a room which is freaking cold, trying to wrestle with technology.. thankfully there was this other girl there today doing her project whom yiffy knows, and it made it seem more 'happening' lar... haiz no more video related stuff for me for the next 3 months man...
well lastly would just like to thank yiffy for helping me with this stoopid video amidst her busy (really she's working and studying while im just having holi-holi-holidays...). schedule, really appreciated it.. next time treat you to can A fine dining... muahhahaha got japanese, got western, got indian, got malay.. multi cultural sia..
